Browser Support

To access InterQual Cloud solutions, you need a modern web/internet browser installed. Use any of the following recommended browsers:

  • Microsoft® Edge

  • Google Chrome™

  • Mozilla® Firefox

Screen Resolution

The application requires a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. Although it will function with smaller screen resolutions, you will have difficulty scrolling to all the buttons. Use a monitor that supports a screen size of 1024 x 768 and change the resolution of your screen to 1024 x 768 or greater.

ⓘ  Note: InterQual® Mobile is optimized for use on small mobile devices. See the InterQual® Mobile Getting Started document (available on Customer Connection) for more information.

Reliable High-Speed Internet Connection

The InterQual Cloud solutions require a reliable, high-speed internet connection such as a business internet cable subscription, business DSL, or other business-class network connection. It is not designed for use over dial-up or sporadic internet connections.

Security

The InterQual Cloud solutions only allow traffic to and from the application server to be sent over secure socket layers, so the browser must support HTTPS traffic that is restricted to protocols, such as TLS 1.2, that have not been shown to have significant vulnerabilities (TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are not supported). In addition, customer-side proxy solutions must not remove HTTP request headers added by the InterQual solutions client software, or returned by our servers, including the “Authorization” request header or custom session cookies. They must also respect cache control response headers returned from our servers if any proxy caching is enabled.

Allow List Rules

If your organization uses network Allow List rules to restrict inbound and outbound traffic to specific URLs, the following URLs must be added:

Application URLs:

  • *.cue4.com

  • *.interqual.com

  • *.changehealthcare.com

Certificate validation URLs:

  • *.sectigo.com

  • *.comodo.net

  • *.comodoca.com

  • *.usertrust.com

Technical Integration Requirements

The InterQual Cloud solutions provide a user interface that allows an end user to view criteria, conduct a medical review, and conduct an assessment. This user interface can be embedded within your application via an <iframe> and JavaScript Application Programming Interface (API). Integration guides are provided to licensed customers and partners on Download Connect.

Many of the leading healthcare information system vendors embed InterQual in their applications to support a variety of healthcare business needs. For more information on our network of certified alliance partners, please visit our web site at:

SAML 2.0 Certificate Requirements

For integrations that leverage SAML 2.0 for Single Sign-On, certificates are used for cryptographic signing of the SAML assertion and for signature verification to ensure a trust relationship with the integrating system.

InterQual requires Class 2 or greater Public Key Certificates from a recognized public Certificate Authority, such as DigiCert, Comodo, GoDaddy, or GlobalSign. Self-signed certificates are allowed by exception only when there are technical limitations that prevent the integrating system from using Certificate Authority-issued certificates, in which case a 2048 key-size minimum and a one-year certificate expiration policy is enforced by the InterQual system. Reference the InterQual® Cloud Solutions SAML SSO Certificate Policy document for details.
